I was looking for a specific recommendation, not a general one like
"What about a womans shelter". No offense intended.

What I'd like is to donate to an organization that has a need for stuff
like hot wheels because they deal with a lot of kids who like hot
wheels.

I don't think there's an "organization that has a need for stuff like
hot wheels because they deal with a lot of kids who like hot wheels".
That would be a peculiarly specific organization, wouldn't it?

Bubbles' idea is an excellent one, why dismiss it as too general? A
quick Google search brings up Saskatoon Interval House. Or there's
Ronald McDonald House, or you can see if any of the hospitals want them
for young patients to use.

FYI, the only time someone uses the phrase "no offense intended" is when
they suspect they may be coming across as offensive or when they a re
deliberately being offensive but want to try and mask it. Much better
to not say anything if you really aren't intending to offend.

We are only trying to help if you ask on a forum you get answers if
you do not like them then whatever. It costs you nothing. We have
given ideas as by your post both of these suggestions are better than
yours as you had none and that is why you asked. If you want to go
crazy stop for a minute play with the cars and calm down. Just do what
you want to do with them as you seem to not take suggestions as a
helping hand but instead you view them as a debate. We do truly are
happy you want to donate them but we give you ideas take them or leave
them and be somewhat thankful we tried helping you find an outlet to
donate to.

I was specifically talking to the "net nanny", not to you.

As I said in my original post, I am looking for specific
recommendations, not broad categories.

You haven't helped me find anything. If you don't have a specific
suggestion, fine. Don't bother replying.

I wish! Imagine the money I could make selling the videos!

But I see how you've come by your reputation on here. I offered you a
couple of "specific" organizations and added in some constructive
criticism. Not only did you choose to go for an offensive comment, but
you totally ignored making any positive comment on the "specific"
answers to your question.

It's a very poor man who can't accept honest constructive criticism and
can't offer positive comments for help provided.

What about a place like RUH children's ward on 3rd floor, The Bridge on
20th, the Friendship Inn, the Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Sask Assoc.
for Community Living, a church, or here's an idea - look in the phone book
and start phoning around. It won't be that hard to find somewhere that will
need them.
