Post by zipWhat's the problem with Hopkins Rob?
Don't say you didn't ask.
My last three trips:
1.) (Winter 2004) I ordered a medium rare steak. It was charred
to a crisp. I sent it back for replacement and after a very long
wait I was served exactly the same piece of meat with some kind
of white sauce poured over it, and the potatoes and vegetables
were now ice cold because they had been sitting on the plate for
20 minutes. By this time, the two people I was with had
finished eating and we left without my having had a single bite
to eat.
2.) (Spring 2005) I was one person at a table of four. Three of
us finished eating before the fourth had even been served. In
spite of having inquired several times as to it whereabouts, when
we left we still had to remind our waitress that the fourth meal
had not been served so that it would be deducted from the bill.
3.) June 2 2005. In spite of my warnings, my date insisted on
going to Hopkin's. She and I both ordered Caesar salads to start
with. They were served in /hot/ bowls fresh out of the
dishwasher, so of course they were ruined. When we asked for
replacements the waitress came back a minute later and said there
was none left. A few minutes later my date heard exactly the
same waitress take Caesar salads order at another table. For
obvious reasons the waitress could not even bring herself to look
up from the floor as we got up and left.
Post by zipYou should keep to yourself what your

Post by MarkHi, I was wondering if someone could help me, can anyone recommend some
nice restaurants in Moose Jaw? not a fast food, but a nice comfortable
restaurant. thanks.
For pizza, ribs, salads, and nice lunch specials go to Boston Pizza. I
haven't been impressed with any of the B.P.'s in Regina, Saskatoon, or
Calgary but I love the food and the staff at the one in Moose Jaw.
For Chinese, go to the Uptown. The Uptown also makes good burgers.
Nit's makes good Thai food.
Houston's makes good pizza and steak.
For pasta, go to the Cordova Bistro. They also make a decent steak.
For something a little different or for fine wines, try Amuze.
Places I avoid include "The Spa", the Heritage Inn, Wayne & Laverne's, the
Park Hotel, Hopkin's Dining Parlour, and Rodo's. (To be fair, my
brother-in-law loves the pizza from Rodo's.)
Except for the Landscape and Rodo's, all of the places I mentioned are
either right on or just off of Main Street.
